It’s a beautiful morning here in Craig, Guyana. Lovely yellow-bellied birds hop from clothes line to hibiscus to dathur (a huge bell like flower sacred to the Hindus).
I’m surprised that some bright soul hasn’t decided to bless me with some Vibez or Movado just yet. Ah yes, this is the life.
From my back verandah I can see a collage of trees back lit by the soft rays of the sun. In my hand, I hold a copy of Jan Carew’s Black Midas.
This is what I call living the vacation life.
