Living the Vacation Life
It’s a beautiful morning here in Craig, Guyana. Lovely yellow-bellied birds hop from clothes line to hibiscus to dathur (a huge bell like flower sacred to the Hindus). I’m surprised that some bright soul hasn’t decided to bless me with some Vibez or Movado just yet. Ah yes, this is the life. Sigh, the … Continue reading The Things We Call Friends
Rain and Blackout
Tonight, it’s raining here in Craig village. Every few seconds lightning illuminates my world. I’m thankful for even this brief bit of light because GPL has taken the electricity away. Blackout! Mosquitoes are eating me here in my bed. The rain is beginning to slow to a drizzle. I can hear the boys on Craig Old Road cussing at GPL. My dog is cussing in … Continue reading Rain and Blackout
